The skilled trades are facing a generational challenge: an aging workforce, a widening skills gap, and a pipeline from the classroom to the career that too often breaks down along the way. Solving it will take more than any single tool — but technology is starting to open real possibilities.

For years, VR in the enterprise meant expensive hardware, complex setups, and experiences that were hard to justify outside the largest budgets. That’s changing. Advances in immersive technology are democratizing VR — making it more accessible, more affordable, and more relevant to the way organizations in construction, manufacturing, and law enforcement actually work. At the same time, AI is becoming a practical tool for how organizations train, operate, and grow their teams.

But the bigger opportunity isn’t just better training — it’s connection. BeThere Immersive believes immersive technology can help build a stronger pipeline from middle school through employment, with post-secondary education as the critical connector between students and the careers waiting for them.
